Why the Hoopla V 1.0

Hit & Run : Story of a Teenager

OK. Hold on. A 13 year old case. A Bollywood star. A hit. A destroyed SUV. A run. The Indian Judiciary. OK fine!! Also the homeless people sleeping on the streets. One died. Does it really matter?

A human being died and the star went onto brand a Being Human.

A hit. A run. A bloodied street. He may or may not have purchased the judges or the lawyers. We don’t know. Just saying. Might have happened. But hold on. She trusts the Indian Judiciary. No one can buy Indian judges and lawyers. Tantra breathed heavily. She was done watching all those continues discussions on news channels. Awe-inspiring. Why can’t this be just another case being dragged into the Indian courts for decades?

Why the hoopla?

She wondered.

This is a Bollywood star. There are normal people who hit and run everyday. Some are injured. Some are paralyzed and some die. Are those who knock them down convicted? They don’t wear a famous face. People do see the individual behind the wheel but the face is fast erased from their minds. The victims never get justice. Not even compensated.

In this case, a little bird told Tantra that a lot of moolah was given to the victims by the Bollywood star. That should be just fine.

A hit. A run. The case is a teenager. Let it be matured enough to be an adult. Or lets just kill it before it hits 18. Between all this, a drunkard reckless star went onto become a humanitarian.

Look what the Indian Judiciary did!!

Kudos!!

My God!! Supremely sarcastic article!! The last two lines were so confusing that I had to dig deep to understand the CASE is a teenager now as its being dragged for 13 years now and that it should end before its dragged for a total of 18 years.. Even the previous post was pretty short but impactfull. Loved the way BackPunch is travelling. enjoying the ride.

I like this transition. This could have been much much better. Good work on the sarcasm and kickass ending. What a dig!! HaHa. Thumbs up!

  3. Sneha Menon

I am confused. Is this a dig at the “star” or the judiciary? But the ending is superlative. Pretty damn good use of the wonderful gift of sarcasm you have. So sarcastic that people would not even understand. All in all it might come across as diplomatic but then the sarcasm covers it up..

he should not go behind bars, he has done a lot of humanitarian work, should be taken into considration.. every man has a dark past, we should let this go by.. somethings are meant to be forgotten n forgiven,

@puneet: you are amongst the many fools who say this. Even his fans say that although 5 years is a little too much but he definitely deserves a 3 year RI. Write sensibly..

Fantastic post my friend. These small cases like the hit and run can be given judgement in days, but it is dragged for 13 years. AWFUL!! Such long period of time can change any reckless human being to a humanitarian whom the world will respect, and when its a person who is frequently followed by media, it just makes the ascension easier. There are so many examples of cases involving high profile people that have not been given judgement yet and are being dragged. SHAME on our weak judiciary system, the loopholes it carries for the wealthy and the powerful to escape.

You are the man. Courageous and gutsy. We need a definite upgrade in our judicial system. A massive upgrade and such posts need to reach the right people. There are commissions established and they write pages and pages of crap and waste truckloads of money in trying to implement or introduce something which may never happen. This small post may or may not make a difference but there is some kind of a spine in this article. Thousands of people are crowding social media with their thoughts on this verdict. You cover both the sides cleverly. From reckless to humanitarian. Brilliant. I am short of words to applaud you for this fabulous article. It has its flaws but the message is delivered. The sarcasm kept aside. Well actually the sarcasm adds kind of a punch. C’mon India, Lets BACKPUNCH!!
