Those Three Little Fingers

There from the corner, a voice,
Amidst all the noise,
Hits my ear,
Like I have longed for a year.

There I go, As I see them low,
See them I low, those three little fingers.

In my mind they linger,
Like tunes of a fine singer.

Breaking free from the work,
Had I been stuck and to soak,

Timeless hours of lifelessness,
Kind to me, be those intervals of wellness.

All for those three little fingers,
In my mind they linger,
Like tunes of a fine singer.

Reminded me of a life,
Friends I had and not just work up like a knife.
For a friend who signalled,
Before those good thoughts were mauled.

She needed to smoke,
I needed to joke,
On the cigarette smoke we both choked.

One of those three breaks,
She signalled.

And those were the three little fingers,
In my mind they linger,
Like tunes of a fine singer.

There is a hidden BackPunch to it. The importance of taking breaks in corporate culture. Work is not just about sitting in front of the system, its also socialising with your colleagues. Read it again, you will get the Punch.

Mediocre stuff but stands out from the rest with the focus only on fingers. I mean i still dont get u wrote a poem on just three fingers and that too little fingers. Fuck!! U r annoyingly talented.

Honestly, I didn’t understand what it meant.

    But loved these lines.

    “She needed to smoke,
    I needed to joke,
On the cigarette smoke we both choked.”
